Who is Express?

Express A/S is a well-established production house with many years of experience in both physical and digital mail production. Our company is made up of specialists in project management, data and document handling, consulting, and production, serving as a partner for businesses looking to optimize their communication. We offer solutions within areas such as Business Print, Direct Mail, Digital Post, and Packaging, with a strong focus on quality, security, respect, and teamwork.

How long has Express been in business?

Express was founded in 1988 by Claus Enersen and Henrik Boas. Since then, the company has evolved from a traditional print and envelope business into a modern production house offering both physical and digital communication solutions.

Technical terms

What is an envelope?

An envelope is the paper sleeve used to hold a letter or printed material before it is sent by mail.

What is a mailer?

A mailer is the same as an envelope – the paper sleeve used to hold letters, flyers, or other printed materials when they are being sent.

What is a Business Print?

Business Print, also known as transactional print, is a term used within printing and distribution, especially when working with addressed mailings and customer communication. Examples include:

  • Invoices
  • Account statements
  • Order confirmations
  • Insurance letters
  • Payment reminders
  • Account summaries

In short: everything that is automatically printed and sent to a customer as a result of a specific action (a “transaction”).

What is a Direct Mail

Direct Mail (DM) literally means “direct post,” and it refers to physical marketing mailings sent directly to a specific recipient by name and address.

What is the Robinson List?

The Robinson List is an official system where individuals can sign up to avoid receiving addressed advertising mail.

What is “no ads, please”?

“No ads, please” is a system that allows private households to opt out of receiving unaddressed advertising mail.

What is e-Boks?

e-Boks is a secure electronic/digital mailbox used in Denmark to receive and store important documents and messages from both public authorities and private companies.

Who delivers letters in Denmark?

DAO: Delivers newspapers, magazines, letters, and small parcels – typically addressed mail distributed early in the morning.

FK Distribution: Handles household distribution of unaddressed advertisements, promotional leaflets, and local weekly newspapers throughout Denmark.

What happens when PostNord stops delivering letters?

For Express A/S and our customers, nothing will change. We already have a stable partnership with dao, who from 2026 will be the only nationwide letter distributor in Denmark. This ensures fast and reliable delivery. 

How much does it cost to produce a letter or a mailing?
